Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?

Yes. You can book easily online.

What will we see on the boat tours?

Each tour is unique to your group and unique according to Mother Nature. You can expect to see dolphins on most tours, as well as a wide variety of wildlife, including: pelicans, herons, egrets, and oyster catchers. Enjoy picture perfect views of the lowcountry with expansive areas of marsh grass lining the shore of the creeks and rivers; enjoy architectural and historical places to view by water and oyster beds at low tides.

How long does each tour last?

Party cruises require a 2-hour minimum to enjoy the water.

Can we have the boat to our own group?

Yes, the Folly Roger is available for booking your private group. There is a 2 hour minimum and maximum amount of guests certified to be on the boat, including crew and captain.

What should we bring?

We recommend you bring towels, hats, sunglasses, extra sunscreen, and extra clothes in case it is windy or cold. You can also bring your own snacks and beverages, a cooler will on board with ice.

If you are going on a shelling trip, pack a bag or container which is useful for collecting shells. If you are going on the shark tooth tour, wear appropriate footwear for the 4-5 miles of walking to and from the search site.

Are food and beverages available on the boat?

We provide a cooler with ice and always have water. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink.

Is there a restroom on the boat?

Yes, there is a full stand up restroom on board.

Do you have on and off ramps?

Yes, the Folly Roger is equipped with USCG certified on and off ramps, as well as hand holds which allows for easy access on and off the boat.

Do you cancel tours due to bad weather?

If we determine the conditions are unsafe, we will cancel the tour. We monitor the weather 24/7. Cancellation decisions are made up to one hour before the tour is set to depart. In that case, you will be given the opportunity to reschedule if possible.

What is the cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours notice to issue a full refund.

Parties who fail to show for a cruise and groups who did not give a 24 hour notice confirmed by phone call/text will not receive a refund or option to apply credit to another cruise. You may send another party in your place.

Cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice will receive a full refund minus a 10% transaction fee.
